As a go-to illustrator for Pique‘s annual Halloween cover, I’ve created multiple pieces of artwork to fit this theme. For the 2019 issue I utilized the owl’s intense stare—highlighting its face through classic symmetry, geometric shapes and a simple colour palette. A layered background gives this particular creature of the night the illusion of flying directly toward the reader. Happy Owloween!
